Hey guys, I am building a home and would like to see some pics of your trophy rooms/man caves. I am thinking of pine or cedar tongue and groove or possibly log siding. Share some inspirational pics! Thanks!

Some pics in this thread attached below. GL with the build Joe!

I have a wood burning stove and a fireplace downstairs, the trophy room is upstairs so I'm leaning more toward a pellet stove possibly. I am a wood burner but carrying wood and all that makes me think of a pellet stove and keeping some bags of pellets in the closet.

Don’t have too many good photos to add as mines super basic.  The only thing I would recommend is if you’re building from new have one wall that is 12ft.  Kind of like a great room style.  This way if you ever want to mount elk, moose, African plains ham, grizzly etc.  you have the height.  My basement is my man cave that I finished myself the ceilings are low though and I have a shoulder mount gemsbok from South Africa that looks silly when on the wall.  The chest of mount would be like a foot off the floor in order for the tips of horns to not go through the drop ceiling.  That being said my hands were tied there as it was existing.

my brothers building a new home now and has a special room for his mounts with tall ceilings.  He’s also going to kodiak island in March though too.

Stone and wood.

Just picked up a load of reclaimed wood. I did one side of my fire place tonight and will finish the other side tomorrow. Going to have to paint some trim now.

I like the look of the reclaimed wood with all the different color variations.
