Do you trust your fish finder?

I agree that's why I got to upgrade did not go with more expensive Lowrance hook which came with better  transducer . Cannot just change have to replace whole unit . It  still works good just no side imaging. I know better now.

They work !!! Good unit shows bottom, fish, depth, temp, boat speed. So much better than fishing blind

Yes, I trust them 100 % fish finder with GPS is a must. Here are some cows that wouldn't bite until the tide switched...

I'd buy the biggest screen you can afford. I use simrad. A 12" and a 9"  one for plotter other for echo. 

I have the Evo3's. But you can get the 9" simrad Go for a good price with transducer and be in the game good.
