Fluke Good catching /poor keeper ratio

Headed out with Mike, Brandon and Rocky today to try and find some fluke .

found fish most everywhere we went but the huge majority where small fish .

‘keeper to short ration was probably 20/1 with only three going in the ice hotel .

‘Brandon had the first keeper  I had the next 2.

a few others were dropped swinging them into the boat .

 

had way more hangers than normal with 10 Oz scoped out to even stay close to the bottom .

south winds blew hard as expected , so it was a pleasant surprise anything even wanted to chew .

Jumped on norma k Friday boat had a lot of keepers to just over 7 lbs.  Lots of Ling in the mix.  Fished yesterday with a buddy in barnagette Bay lots of fish all short trying again tomorrow out front until we can't take it than inside a bit

That’s been the norm in the bay too. Sometimes as high as 30/1

Same Story. Fished 6/26 offshore out of Manasquan. I think we had around 15 Fluke shorts plus 2 keeper's 21" & 18.5". 7 or 8 Short Sea Bass plus 2 keepers.

Seabass closed the 22nd  so none were keepers.  You mean keeper sized
