Cuban picadillo

After reading LPHUNSJR  post on  picadillo ,I figured I would  try it  out .

pretty much the same recipe with a few little differences I made it tonight .

 

used Rotel instead of the stewed tomatoes and a pack and a half of sazone.

half a sweet onion , half a red pepper..teaspoon of capers , cumin and Montreal steak seasoning , sugar .

raisens and green olives 

 

tried it when it was just about done and was just  Ok..

 

left it simmer on low  20 minutes while making rice in the steamer .

flavor really married in that time , and all I can saw is WOW .

 Most flavorful complex meal I have ever had using ground meat ..

combination of the seasonings along with the capers, olives  and raisins was unreal ...
