my brother, father, and I were supposed to get out there this morning but called it off due to the wind up here. About a month ago I was in a tree in these kinda winds and I scared myself a bit when two trees came down entirely too close for comfort. The first one I thought was a coincidence. The second one talked me into climbing down and leaving. 

I have nothing special gear wise. Wish I did. I just put on the layer. My finger got cold fast when take the phone out to take pictures,  they were only exposed a minute or two at a time but thats all it took.

Although you didn't go for the meat, you may still find his sheds and have him to hunt again next year.  This weather makes me think twice about taking my gloves off to gut it, drag it, then spend time freezing in the garage cutting it up.

Its a place I never hunted before so I don't know the deer.  There is a couple stands just off my relatives property. So I will run a camera late summer and see whats around
