Soggy Bait

Anyone worried about it tomorrow? I baited heavy friday and stayin out til tomorrow. Will soggy bait be an issue? If nothing tomorrow ill put fresh for later in the week

Waiting for after the rain to bait again. Baited heavy yesterday. Will bait heavy tuesday a.m. My son can only hunt Tomorrow and Saturday. Tomorrow looks like a wash. However we may hunt the afternoon depending on how the weather goes. If tomorrows a wash i will bait heavy all week!

They will not know if the bait is soggy unless they show up. It should be enough to take them

I agree, they know the bait is there, the smell of the bait is still detected by them. It will draw them in

They will eat rotten beaver carcasses I don't think a soggy donut is gonna turn their nose

Beaver to bear is like ice cream to most people

The guy I hunt with in NB Canada is a trapper. He gets about 300 of them each year. He skins them and then he puts them in a barrel, filling it with water as he goes. Come spring he uses them for bear bait.

Dog food and cherry kool-aid powder that is what we used in northern idaho and had blacks and brown bear on them

My buddy hunted NB for bear. They hung beaver up high. The maggots would fall off and the bears would eat those. Made the bait last much longer as only the biggest bears could reach high enough to actually get the beaver
