What in the hell!?

 

The guy that shot should be skinned alive. What a moron. Looks like he stalked the calls, saw movement or a bird (decoy) way in the distance and fired like an a$$ho!e. If skinning alive is too much, at least permanent revocation of hunting license and owning weapons for that irresponsible a$$!

 

Unbelievable.

I found it - from 2007: I GOT SHOT THIS MORNING (PIX)

 

It's for this reason I don't even think about going to Medford WMA. I know it can happen anywhere, and there are idiots everywhere, but that place now has bad karma.

 

I still think about that thread and this guy's pix every now and then before heading out for turkey hunting.

 

(In case you were wondering, this guy healed up and ended up serving in Afghanistan in the Marines a few years later from what I remember reading of his later posts)

I remember that Mazzgolf. Anytime that happens it's just insane to me that it can ever happen. Who are these morons and how did they pass hunter ed? 

 

Sadly after reading through some of that old thread I saw a comment from Telefante...Hard to believe theres more than a few guys from the original NJH that are no longer with us and so many we never hear from. I didn't get to know T as well as some but we got along so well we were like brothers within 5 minutes of meeting. Just an amazing guy! 

 

On a positive note, hopefully Ryan is out of the Marines and getting ready for a safe and successful turkey season. Obviously a tough kid, got shot and THEN he joined the US Marine Corps infantry. :hail:

Three years ago on a WW Hunt the Cameraman and I were both peppered upstate NY by an Amish guy. This is why stalking Turkey is illegal. If you see someone doing it report him. It is like any other Poaching, illegal and dangerous.
