I liked it better when I was insulated from the harsh reality of life. People could only "like" me....they couldn't "dislike" me. The world was a happy place and I lived in ignorant bliss.

 

It was all positive energy...flowing....circular....

Is there any way to change a like or dislike... bc I accidentally picked the wrong one (b/c they are right near each other haha) and now I feel like a jerk.  I can't live with feeling like a jerk.

Wow surprisingly, as I couldn't find a setting that allowed this, I checked with the software vendor's support site for this board software and they said it isn't possible to undo them. That seems like a major oversight. Let me see if I can figure out a way to manage it.

To be perfectly honest, I liked the old system better.

 

I also used to get little notifications that someone "liked" my post....made my ego swell every time i saw notifications. lol  

 

It was nice to know I was loved...Now I feel so...ordinary. 

 

On top of all that, we have mean people like NJFarmgirl running around giving out "Dislikes"....I'm not sure how much more of this I can take!

Put me down as someone that prefers the former system, but it's not a big deal either way for me.

There's an add-on I can install that pretty much supports a wide range of content ratings for anything.

There are some limitations to rating comments in Blogs and Gallery, but I can probably figure out how to build those in.

 

Here's a sample screenshot of the rating types that are supported.  Obviously all don't need to be enabled.

But this lets you rating, and change your rating to any of the available options for content.

Is that list customizable so we can add "disturbing"? And can we run reports against the list so we know who the most disturbing person on the site is?
