Red tails

I saw these two juvenile red tails today.  They had a fresh chipmunk kill.  They stayed put for about 20 minutes so I got some good photos.

Oh man-you gotta tell me what they are.  I thought they did not develop the red tail until maturity kinda like bald eagles with the white head.

Are they young Peregrine falcon's?

You're right about the tail.  Great pictures, do you have more?

Very nice picture? Red tail would be almost double this bird's size,

I give you a hint, this is not even a hawk.

I withdraw that guess if it's not a hawk.

I took a lot of pics.  Here's another one showing more feathers.  How could that not be classified as a hawk? It has a hooked beak and talons.

In North American we have Hawks, Falcons, Eagles and one single Harrier

I went to google images.  If that is not an immature red tail then I'm not sure what it is.

Check out the legs on a juvenile Red tail. They are massive. Your bird has stick for legs
