Don't over think. Run a dry patch or 2. Then snap 1 cap. Then load at home before leaving (DO NOT PUT A PRIMER/CAP in gun until on stand). If you do not shoot the gun, pull primer out & climb out/down/Etc. No need to unload.

This is the correct answer .

You are overthinking it. Just load it tonight and hunt. None of this anal shit people tell you will make a difference makes any difference.

Just popped a cap in the garage and set everything up to just grab and go in the morning.

Run a patch down the barrel. Fire a primer tonight. Load it tonight and then put the primer in when you get to your spot. Not that difficult. Take a piece of colored electrical tape or a paint pen and mark the ramrod. One mark for an unloaded barrel and one for a loaded barrel. If your that concerned, push the load out after the hunt, quick swab and reload the next time.

Leave the charge in the gun without the primer for the week and leave the gun in the outside temperature. Temperature changes will cause condensation and the powder will absorb that moisture which will risk your chance of ignition when you need it.
