Finally got out for a couple hours

If there’s fish rising, I’ll fish a dry. Most of the time they’re not and I fish the same basic nymph rig 99% of the time. The one in the picture is the one I used yesterday and it was the one I used the last time I fished last year.  
 

16 inches of 5x  fluorocarbon tippet tied to the leader. Round soft splitshot above that knot. Sucker spawn. Another 16 inches of tippet tied to the bend in the hook. Copper bead head pheasant tail. Football indicator. Hook size 14, 16. 

When conditions change, warmer clearer lower water I’ll downsize the entire rig and tie it with 6x. If I’m fishing for wild fish I sometimes tie a natural nymph as a dropper instead of a beadhead. And use a smaller indicator.
