Been looking for a daily driver.

Prices are ridiculous.

sales person tells me all used car sales are AS IS.

and you can’t test drive them .

just start them up and look at them .

.

seems that dealership sends all used cars straight to the auction , and doesn’t look to sell anything but new cars .

‘They don’t even guarantee NJ inspection on their cars .

How the hell can you buy a car without test driving it ? suppose the trans or clutch is shot , what a azz wipe sales person

Yup I was about to buy a new truck they tacked on $3000  to the sticker price. This was a truck to be ordered not a truck on the lot....screw it I'll keep what I have

My wife tells me the Honda dealer wants a $1000 NONREFUNDABLE deposit

I would hold cash.  I feel the upcoming crash will be epic.

Looking for a used Subaru. Varied models but all have used prices just a few thousand below new car prices.

When the crash happens cash will be trash. Gold or silver coins may be the only thing with value. Cash is only backed by the US gov, nothing else.

What was the old joke. Keeping cash in the mattress. Now the mattress is worth more then the cash.

I just bought a new chevy Colorado from Rossi. I had my 2016 silverado in there for a wire harness problem and I asked what they would give me on a trade in. I was shocked at how much they offered. I wanted to downsize to a colorado for a while now. Lucky me they had a new one and there was no “market adjustment” on the sticker. It works out well if they have new inventory that you like. I asked what they had coming in and was told 2 new colorados next month. Supply chain issues are slowing down deliveries.

A lot of dealers are doing this now. Simple supply and demand economics.

Yeah like you downsize...I have Tundra and want to go back to my favorite truck, Tacoma...but I refuse to pay sticker let alone over sticker they can KMA!!!

She didn’t seem to care .

guess it’s easier for them to send them through the auctions .

Let me know if u ever downsize BHC!!  I’m looking to upgrade my 2001 Tundra that just hit 200k if I ever come across a deal!!
