Buddy of mine had done this to his jet sled and it made dragging a bunch of gear much easier. Finally got around to doing it to mine.

I always hated how short the pull rope was on mine as I would constantly run over my heal as I was dragging it. The rope also dug into my hand making it uncomfortable/awkward while pulling a bunch of gear. Now the rope is much longer and the bar makes for a much more comfortable way of pulling the sled.

I left the original rope in place in case the rope and/or bar breaks.

What model is that?

Consider getting the Kodiak model of whichever jetsled you buy.  Thicker plastic.

That is a much bigger sled. I believe someone on here has both and posted pictures of them side by side. The regular sled fits perfectly in the bed of a pickup truck

Not sure but think the Kodiak model means thicker plastic &  comes in different sizes.  Mine fits easily In my taco longbed.

You're correct. It is a heavy duty version of the regular Jet Sled. I was confusing it with the Magnum which is bigger

I recently bought & havent dragged one out with my sled yet.  is it really that much easier to make it worth the extra round trip back to the truck?

I got a feeling I'm not gonna use it when I finally get one.

Absolutely, when you go back to get it you can leave what you dont need and take off a layer. Get the wear bars. Slicker than snot over dry land

I ordered  the wear bars when I ordered the sled.  They are installed & ready for the first victim...

This is what the wear bars look like. You can turn them over when the one side wears to get more life out of the bars and your sled
