Looking for a turkey dinner

Second fox so far this season (8 days) that thought I was a turkey and came looking for a meal.

Makes ya wonder how many respond that you don't see.

And how many are successful at getting what they came for.

Here are some babies that were successful with their breakfast (mom was anyway).  Cute when theyre little but they are killing machines!  I tried to hand catch one but that didnt work so well, lol

The best thing you can do to help the turkey population is kill the fox, couple years of trapping a area and you will notice a difference, due to health issues last winter and my ol lady passing the winter before, my farms are way overpopulated again and it shows

Dam fox killed my chickens over a year ago and the other morning one came around looking right where the coop was.........

That's messed up but they got to eat to. I guess you have to set a few more traps.

Here's a hen, Tom and a red right behind them. The bird didn't really care about the fox. The walked back with in 5 yards of him. The fox looked at them but did not go after them. I watched them for a few minutes and the fox was looking for mice.
