Well a member on here went with the same outfitter I hunt with and tagged his bull yesterday with his bow. He may come on here and share his story. The rut is now getting fired up. Timing should be good for me with the opener in 2 weeks as the bulls will still be bugling and looking for late cows.

1st year Mule Deer

2nd year Elk and Antelope

3rd year Elk and Mule Deer

4 year Bear

5th year this year for Elk and Mule Deer

 

Only unsuccessful was the bear. Was chasing a cinnamon phase bear that has eluded him for years.

Working on the reloads.

I always clean the primer pocket and chamfer the opening. I also use bench rest primers.

The rifle is zeroed at 200 but I have practiced a lot at 600 and missed a coyote by about 6” at 850 last year... most I will probably take on a deer or Elk is 500. Longest kill shot in a deer for me is 528. This turret is ballistically matched to the cartridge and velocity.
