Psehunter
Came across this product, its cheap and small.$29 and there's now monthly or activation fees. Though some of you might need these. https://www.thetrackr.com/bravo/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=Bravo_Search_GeneralKeywords_cpc&utm_campaign=Bravo_Search_GeneralKeywords&gclid=CjwKEAiAm8nCBRD7xLj-2aWFyz8SJAAQNalaDgWYDtr-40mEP_tUnXM45S_qejZ8tzGvF9zYyjOCiRoCPHzw_wcB Edited December 15, 2016 by Psehunter LPJR
DeplorableDan
But how does it prevent someone from ripping the device off the camera? Edited December 15, 2016 by DeplorableDan
Psehunter
But how does it prevent someone from ripping the device off the camera? Put it inside your camera, unscrew the case open it up and put it in where it can't been seen Thunderchicken
DeplorableDan
Ahh ok. What they need to do is integrate that into the design of the camera.
Bucksnbows
The cynic in me would rather see the cameras explode shrapnel if taken off the tree by someone whose fingerprints don't match up. hemlock, Leo801, Capt Hook and 1 other 4 https://www.troutscapes.com/ https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board
Haskell_Hunter
Interesting product. The only limitation is that it only works when it's within range of the app. It uses Bluetooth to get its GPS location and to communicate back to the servers. If it's not within range of the app, it won't track at all. Howell boy and Merkel 2 Sapere aude. Audeamus. When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory. njdeerhunter54
It states that using the "Crowd GPS" app it works worldwide if it is in range of anyone's device Bucksnbows
George79
Bluetooth range is only 100'. If and only if someone else has an app within range of it, your gps will be updated. Leo801
Yes, someone else with the tracking APP would have to come within 100 FT of it to ping it's location to the APP if you're not that close
buckfever1974
If you could rig your cameras like exploding die packs in the bank it would be awesome.
IthacaDS3
I wonder about developing a virus and planting it in my camera's memory card that will send the IP adddess and other information of anyone who loads the memory card in their device
cecil973
I have a "tile" in my wallet that uses crowd Bluetooth as well and I lost my wallet once and was able to get it back so I guess I can vouch for the crowd Bluetooth idea Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk Chasing the deer that eat your bushes since 2012
