2nd morning in a row in a classic rut thicket on edge of powerline. It's dead so far. Gonna try and make it to 10-10:30. I believe we are experiencing the "trickle rut".

Today would have been my dad's 64th birthday, and I usually try to get out on this date.  I just don't see it happening for me though. Maybe you'll drop one though.  It just feels like a good morning to be in the woods

Reports I got from the property yesterday Jack was that they were running good in the morning through around 2 pm....then the winds picked up and shut down the activity.....Today and tomorrow should be great

wind was unbearable up on the power lines, came home, got some coffee, now going out back for a while... Pulled a card up on that hill and the big body 7pt was around but very little action all night long and nothing this morning...

Little dink checking his embarrassingly dinky scrape. He is just standing there waiting for a doe to walk by I guess.

Went to take first sip of coffee and that huge body mature 7 walks by at 50! He is a shooter for sure. I don't care he wont score. Looked like he was gonna come right to me but instead kicked up that dink out of his bed and chased him off. Well he is in here for sure even though he was across street 1/2 mile away early morn. Here is another recent pic. If he got hit by an arrow in neck as I suspect - it didn't phase him. What an absolute tank.
