I really want to learn how to shoot a stickbow though. Nomad generously offered to show me the ropes when I get some free time and I'm definitely going to take him up on that offer sometime in the near future

No, I was just a kid in the 70's, wasn't permitted to wear the tight disco clothes. lol

Been shooting traditional only for about ten years now. I've been very into more "modern" recurves lately (metal ILF risers/ Olympic limbs) so I kind of feel like I'm "cheating" lately!

Mathews SBXT. I really wish I could shoot traditional again but after multiple surgeries on both shoulders, they are wrecked. I could never shoot enough to be good with trad gear. I can only do 15 or so arrows a day, if that, on a good day. Have to stay with the compound, and may not be able to do that for too many more years. I really miss the connection to the bow and arrow you get shooting trad gear, fingers on the string, instinctively. There really is nothing quite like it. It's archery/bow hunting in the purest sense, a very different feeling that you get with the compound but one I just can't do any longer.
