I have taken a few in the 50s and have known of a couple guys that were 60. In Jersey 50 is the giant mark. The biggest I ever heard of was 86 lbs  but can’t remember where it was from.!

How do you target them ?  Is that a blind set or choke point ?  Can you set on a run into the beaver house in NJ ?

I like cross over runs or castor set. Channel sets are great too.

Nice catch!  The weather is certainly in your favor this year, though a bit of ice would give you some nice options too.

Ice? Nothing beats open water beaver trapping. 330's on castor mounds with  a good lure, snares in channels. If you have beaver they are easy to catch.

Day 2 with just 2 sets I got a 42.5 lber was a fighter with all the old bite marks in the tail.
