Bumble Bees and Butterflies

I've got bumble bees and butterflies feeding on dandelions and my lawn needs to be cut.

Shouldn't that Monarch be in Mexico by now? My lawn needs to be cut as well. I thought I was done.

I dont cut lawn after oct 1st. I pull spark plug and tell the ol lady it is broke and will fix over winter.. it is usually fixed around first snow. lol

I never see those big black butterflies anymore. I think they are called blue cloud swallow tail or green cloud swallow tail depending on the color of the spot on their wings. Maybe I just don't notice them.

It's a Monarch, and like elusive stated, it should be well on its way to Mexico by now.  Thank goodness for global warming or it would be dead already.

I realize the butterfly in the pic is a monarch. I am talking about a totally different butterfly.

I haven't seen any butterflies, but the bees are all over the bear bait . . .

I for one, am NOT complaining about the warmer temps though

Nothing says it's November better than this, working up a good sweat while you mow the lawn.

Nice.  I need to do the same, once the red oaks drop their leaves, which does not appear to be any time soon.

I know there arent any cicadas out this year, but I didnt see any cicada killers out either and they are usually out in the summer....maybe too dry??

I think cicadas are cyclical every seven years or something
