just got back from winni

ice fished on lake winnipesaukee in new hampshire for 5 days and had a great time.got a 6lb rainbow and some lakers to 26".was  tuff with the full moon and south wind but we still found what we needed.saw more deer and turkeys than here in nj.found lots of yellow perch but we were not up there for those.great place,great people and allot of fun.

I haven't been ice fishing since my teens so forgive my ignorance, but why would the wind direction and moon phase matter when you're ice fishing?

It all plays a role with current and pressures, even with ice the fish know, blue bird days are the worst for ice fishing too

rgw is correct,the wind will shift the ice and make allot noise.as far as the south wind,never a big fan.
