Yes you can shoot 30 caliber... yes you can load 80grains and to that even lighter and the case designates the cartridge not the saboted projectile. Any more questions?

Ok then you are saying that just any 30 cal isnt legal.  It is legal as long as the 30 cal case has 80 grains or less.  If it's a 30 cal and has more than 80 grains it's not legal.

Legal for what? Hunting or transporting to the range?

The bullet has to be 80 grains or less to use for ground hogs.  .   Mg posted sabbots made to achieve this easier..

No, for hunting 80 or less is legal. For the range... any grain weight is legal. You are not hunting you are target shooting and they did not pit that stricter requirement on it ... capish?

Actually you are wrong. If it's not legal to bunt with its not legal at the range.

Incorrect,  the new regs state 30 cal or less no weight restriction.  But I'm sure you'll find a law that you say is gospel because the regulation is illegal

It is legal to own a 30-06 in NJ you just can not hunt with it unless you use 80 gr or less bullet. Nothing stops you from taking a legal gun, not necessary legal for hunting, to the a range in NJ
