This piebald  doe stands out like a sore thumb most of the year.
But with all the snow on the ground she just about disappears once she hits the woodline.
The natural brown deer of couse just the opposite.
Crazy how much stuff blends just breaking the natural color lines.

she has been here for 5 years.

so she has learned well where to stay .

 

never have seen her with a fawn, so thinking she isn't fertile.

she is usually around the other deer all year.

she is def more alert than most of the other deer, but guess that should be expected for how old she is

Always enjoy seeing piebalds. Beautiful picture.

We had a piebald that was almost completely white, the land owner asked that we not shoot it.  In the fall you could see that poor thing coming from 400 yards away but in the winter that deer was invisible.
