Coyote Snaring -Tips?

Well I max my snairs to the second loop stop. So I'm guessing I'm in the right area.

 

I also like to have a branch or limb over top of the snair. Seems to do a good job at keeping deer from knocking them over

Be careful with the log over the snare. You'll get a lazy fawn in your snare. They'll try and sneak under rather than jump it

Is there any way to 100% make it so a deer won't get in it?

I NEVER put anything Over a Coyote snare....Deer WILL duck into them.

yeah, every fawn will duck the jump stick.

 

just set the snare. reset if you have to. it beats finding a deer in it.
