Also- I must add - the fanatic doesn't have a hood!  I bought this set for the cold windy days and there's no hood! But the lighter set has a hood..

I just wear a hood under it but I feel like it should come with one. That's bs.

IMO guys who buy Sitka wanna love it after what was spent to purchase .

sadly I think more guys feel just like you , short changed .

I know I def did , as well as many of my friends .

I'm not one of those guys. I've hunted in brush pants, Woolrich, Wooltimate, Cabelas MTO50, and KUIU. All have their place in my hunting in NJ. Other than getting used to the cross chest zipper, the Fanatic has been great on all day sits including my hunts in Saskatchewan. I never wear a hood either.

I like Code of Silence way better than I did Sitka .

in both fit and function .

Their  different zone 7 series have been great .

been using the zone 7 Versa series to 30 degrees .

the zone 7 Dialed in series below 30.

.

after some research I think i’m gonna go with code of silence

Their dialed in series has worked really well for me

have only been wearing a 400 merino shirt and a fleece vest underneath in these cold temps .

Sits have been extremely comfortable .

If you do , don’t buy the sizes you bought Sitka in .

COS is true to size , maybe even just a tad larger .

Dont be surprised if it becomes your go to lol

Hopefully new line up or inventory is refreshed....don't have my size now.

  • 4 weeks later...

I have a Sitka Boreal Aerolite jacket. Its really warm but the sizing is off.

Im 5,10 150lbs and the medium is real tight, fits well without a base layer, but that's just not realistic for the way I dress.

I also have a core lightweight hoody that I think is really comfortable and a massive waste of money.

I know its "lightweight" but its not warm at all. The stitching is coming undone at both wrists as well. I think the jackets are worth it if you get the right size, but the hoodies and such are nothing special, although the material is very soft and comfortable.

I also own a pair of gradient pants that i wear under my waders. By far my favorite purchase from sitka. Extremely warm and they have straps that keep your pants from riding up when putting waders on.

Sitka runs small. Still my favorite stuff.
