What antivirus are you running ??

Soi run just a plan lenova desktop and i was using Mcafee and still have a few months till subscription ends , Keep  trying to renew on its own at full price and constant popups saying your computer has critical viruses guess my last several months of my subscribition dont count LOL . I was wondering what you guys use  . John

I use AVG. been using them for many years and no issues with their service.

I've been using Windows Defender exclusively for over 10 years now.  It does a fine job.  I've used Norton and Avast in the past. They were fine, but no need for them since Windows Defender is already built into your system.

Also, whichever antivirus solution you choose, make sure you uninstall or disable the old one.  Don't use more than one.  They don't play nice together.

Your internet provider likely does most of the work these days unlike long ago. That said, I only use Windows Defender. No need for an extra software package that will only fight with Defender and slow your machine down.

Windows Defender is fine, Norton and the like use too much resources.
