Only allowed to shoot quail on 2 WMA, quail seemed to last longer for training, got confused, I'm old and worked with Joe C., some combination

Chukar partridge in the wild are a radically different bird than stocked birds. Even a bigger difference than quail or pheasant when it comes to stocked versus wild. 
I can agree with this. Living in northern Idaho. Wild birds as soon as the dog got on scent the wild birds would bust the cover and take flight. The ruffed grouse held the best. Huns and quail don't hold well. The pheasents would run for a mile
