KUIU First Impressions

I received a gift card to KUIU at Christmas from one of my suppliers. I have been using KUIU merino baselayers for the last two seasons so I'm no stranger to the quality and cost of the product. 

I purchased the Super Down Pro Jacket in Verde Camo. The fit and finish is flawless. As advertised, it is extremely light weight, warm, waterproof and virtually windproof. I've been wearing it for the last few months shoveling, snow blowing, ATV'ing, checking cameras etc. With nothing underneath but a undershirt, it is very warm considering how little it weighs. I have not used it hunting as of yet.

The Cons: The trade off is that it is a bit noisy due to the typical nylon with down combination. The sizing does run small if your a bit bigger in the mid section. At $379 it is a bit pricey.

All in all a great alternative to a heavy coat.

Thanks for review . Find most stuff runs small . I always buy one size larger and arms still short.

You definitely have to go up a size if you plan on any kind of layering.

I have the Yukon gear and the down vest. Love the quality ! But as stated…buy one size bigger.

Does yours lose down at the seams non stop?

No way a jacket at $379 should be noisy.
