I ran back down today and fished from 10a-12. Caught some nice fish today but definitely a lot slower than yesterday. There were smaller blues mixed in today (3-5#) along with a few gators. This is a pic of what these blues have been doing to the snap swivel attached to the steel leader from Dicks, JUNK!

Lol, I thought when it says it's a "50 lb steel leader", I assumed it meant all hardware too! I'm new at this saltwater stuff so thanks for all the help and suggestions! Being a sportsman for almost 40 years and I'm still learning!

Took a break from turkey hunting to do some fishing today. Headed down to the raritsn Bay Area searching for incoming stripers. My morning lead me to redbank where I slammed big blues in the river. No stripers but lots of slammer blues. I caught about 30 total and lost about 10. I lost what was one of the biggest bluefish I have ever seen. Caught all on light tackle. Tsunami swims shads were the ticket today. I went home with sore arms! Lots of fish around now so you guys get out there and have some fun! Btw, I bought steel leaders from dicks which almost every snap swivel attached were getting destroyed and ruined every 3-4 fish. I don't know if it was the fish or crappy swivels but be aware.

Wow what a Giant. My Son just bought a house in Forked River. He will have the fishing figured out in no time.

Sent from my flip phone with the big buttons so I can see them
