B B
Thinking about doing my driveway. Any feedback? Pros/Cons?
rgw
millings are getting harder to find, i need to get about 20 yards somewhere to finish off mine. if you lay it on thick and roll it, it keeps weeds out pretty good B B
Buck154
I did my driveway a couple years ago. Had 25 tons dropped off. Took my wife and i a week to spread it by hand. Don't do it that way! Get someone with a Bobcat to spread it. It came out good and we like it. Very little weeds and is pack. Should be a good base for blacktop eventually i hope. The only con is if you have to plow snow you will push some around like blue stones. Edited March 5, 2017 by Buck154 B B
Tbill
Ditto Buck154 comments. Consider rolling it and having it hot tarred (driveway sealer) to keep it in place. Edited March 5, 2017 by Tbill B B
Stevo
You want the cleanest you can get. We got a bunch from Earl for Eastmont last year and it was good stuff. Like others have said you just need to keep the weeds out. B B 1 Sent from my flip phone with the big buttons so I can see them
Capt Hook
Plenty of milling out there .they do make a very good base for what ever. B B

Trykonkid11
I got a tri axle full last fall from the paving company what was milling US 206 near in Newton/Hampton for free. If you see them milling stop and ask the foreman. They want to get rid of them closer to their job site. I tipped the driver $20. Well worth it. I spread it with my buddies tractor and rented a compactor, it is as hard as my asphalt driveway. This spring I'm going to have it sprayed/sealed. B B
Thanks for the info. Anyone know if there's a better time to have it done, warmer temps? I'm paying someone to do it, no way will my back let me do it myself. Also, was wondering if I would still be able to plow it with my four wheeler W/O tearing it up? Not that we ever get any snow anymore!
mightyhunter
Probably not a good idea to plow it without some kind of sealer on it. JMO B B
Trykonkid11
You can plow it. U just have to a just the feet on the plow so the blade does not dig in. I plow mine with no issues with my wheeler. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk B B

DV1
I had it for several years, came from Fazzio's, was good stuff, very solid and made a great base once I paved the driveway. Lunatic
Thanks for the info. Anyone know if there's a better time to have it done, warmer temps? Not that we ever get any snow anymore! What he said. If you close they love it because otherwise it cost money to truck it back to plant and most will charge them for disposal. IN NJ they charge around $150/load so they are happy to give it away B B
