Any golfers?

Figured with spring approaching I'd kick off a topic on golfing and see if there were any fellow golfers out there!

I started playing seriously about a year and a half ago, definitely the most challenging sport I've ever played, ton of fun and frustration!

Anyone else play or thinking about getting (back) into it?

I used to play fairly often, but gave it up as I got more into fly fishing.  Plus it got very expensive.  You used to be able to walk on at 5 pm and get in 14 or so holes before dark for $20 or so.  Those days are long gone.

Yeah there's no doubt it's expensive.  You can still get some pretty good deals walking on midweek and odd hours, but it still adds up.

I'd like to find a nice course down here I can join that has good practice facilities as well.

I spend enough money at the range as it is, rolling that into a club and getting playing time on top of it is far better use of that money.
