I know a short cut! I uncovered the boat today worked on wiring got fresh gas and oil, and she fired right up. Ready for more adventures at sea.

If you're looking for a good rod holder, you'll definitely get more bites using clam(well nvm this is 2017) instead of bunker, just not as many "keepers"...

 

Good luck on your search though. If all else fails, you can always put a bunker out on a kite...that's a surefire way to get a man holding your rod or a way to get your rod in the holder depending on how hot and heavy(or slow) the action is. Now, if youre looking for the really big girls(stripers), they like it deep, not just in Jersey City waters either
