  12. It looks like it is gonna be a hot one! in the 90's on opening day What do you guys think? Hunt water source, food plots, crop fields, or bait piles? I am thinking about hunting a stream that runs 20 yards into the woods off of a corn field. I think that will be my best bet to whack a doe so that I can obtain a buck tag. What is everyone's plan? Or comments and opinions on my plan! It is gonna be as hot as the 's toenails out there! Anyone have an air conditioned hunting blind I can borrow?
  13. Okay, so I know that it happens to the best of us..... I put a bad shot on a nice 9 pointer last year and never found it. I have no excuse other than it was my fault completely. I didn't practice shooting nearly enough. I bought a new mathews bow before last season, sited it in, and maybe practiced shooting it three times. I know, I know, I should have shot more and practiced shooting from a stand instead of off the ground. But this year I have been shooting a lot every week. Anytime that I get, even if it is only 30 minutes, I have been shooting my bow. My pins are set at 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yards. My groups are pretty good all the way up to 40 yards. I have been shooting off of the top of my shed that is 10ft-12ft high. Any tips on how to get tighter groups at 50 and 60 yards? Such as a better stabilzer? I currently have a cheap one on there. Also I have been getting kind of bored just shooting at the block target I have. What do you guys do to keep it fun? Is there any target courses around to shoot? I am located in salem county. Let me know! Thanks!

  21. I was very pleased when I was notified this morning that an article I had written about the new Dead Ringer Hunting Broad Heads called the Rampage line was being posted on this morning. Now before some of you start yelling at me, yes I do work for the company and believe in the products the company produces and sells. With that being said I also strongly believe that this new line of Hybrid broad heads will quickly become one of the best selling broad head lines to ever hit the market. They were just introduced last January at the ATA show so they were too late for getting into the big box stores like Cabela's and Dicks, etc. for this season. Even though you will not be able to get them from the bigger stores until next season, go can still order them from Dead Ringer Hunting at http://www.deadringerhunting.com or you might still be able to pick some up at your local Wal-Mart store who does carry them. Some of you may have already tried them or at least have seen some of the results posted by hunters from around the country. These new heads have already taken many of the North American game animals in addition to exotics and African game animals. They are proving that they will do what they say they can do. "When failure is not an option" .... "Let there be blood" I hope that you might enjoy the article and even give these new broad heads a chance sometime. I also hope you are all having a good, safe, and successful season so far. Please remember, be safe and good hunting! Here is the link to the article: http://bowhunting.net/2013/10/from-then-to-now-the-modern-broadhead/ A few pics from the article:
