I got a picture of this piebald buck over the weekend. Only have a few pics of him. Pretty sure he is just a fork buck unless he has brow tines. Any one else capture trail cam pic of albino or piebald deer here in NJ? Would love to see pictures or hear stories. Also, is it true that it is bad luck to harvest one? Because the cape would make for a pretty cool rug. I am not saying I would shoot this buck. He is young! I would love to get some good footage of him though. Hopefully I see more of him in the upcoming weeks!

Always a good sign when you got daytime pics! The other buck I only have 3 pictures of at night. Both of them are nice 8 points. Hoping for something a little bigger than these. But if they are within 30 yards I am letting an arrow fly! Let me see your hitlist buck/bucks!

It is gonna be a cool one this weekend and my teammate Bryan Highley and me (Dean Bush) have our buck tags.... Hoping to fill our tags this weekend! Also, we have t-shirts in the making. Gonna be doing some giveaways on instagram and facebook. You can follow our instagram @bruiserbucksoutdoors. We are teaming up with rackgetterscents as well and we'll be giving away some of their products. I was thinking of doing a t-shirt giveaway on here as well... So keep your eyes out in the next week or two. BruiserBucksOutdoors is a group of young hunters that love the outdoors. We just started our instagram over a year ago now. We have just started a facebook page and twitter as well. We are also looking into making a website and selling t-shirts. Once we do that we are also going to be looking into a foundation to donate too. Does anyone know of hunting related foundations that we can donate too? Would love to hear feedback! What do you think of our logo? Thank you!

Man I wish I didn't have work today. It was a nice cool morning. I have had a decent 8 point on camera four times in the last week at 7:30am on one of my properties. Try to get a doe so I can proceed to hunt for a buck. Anyone out this morning? What are you guys/girls seeing out there?

What is everyone doing this weekend to prepare for opening day? I think that I will be baiting and checking cameras on saturday. Top the day off with a little bit of target practice. Thinking about checking out a 3D shoot on sunday. What are you doing to prepare?

I am trying to get into filming my hunts. Or actually having my friends or girlfriend film my hunts. Would love to hear tips on what equipment to purchase. I have a dslr that is pretty nice. There is a hunting package for it on campbell cameras website. I was thinking of purchasing it. Does anyone film with a dslr? I was possibly even going to try and film myself. Any information on purchasing a setup to film hunts or tips on filming hunts would greatly be appreciated. Thank you

Does anyone have any pictures of bucks they have had on camera to see how much they have grown in a year? I am pretty sure this is the same buck. He went from a little six pointer to a nice 7 pointer. He has grown very nice over the year. Still not a shooter. But if he keeps growing like that he should be a nice buck next season. Please share pictures of any bucks that you have seen grow over the years! Let me know if you think this is the same deer. From the looks of it I think it is but would love to hear your opinions!

It looks like it is gonna be a hot one! in the 90's on opening day What do you guys think? Hunt water source, food plots, crop fields, or bait piles? I am thinking about hunting a stream that runs 20 yards into the woods off of a corn field. I think that will be my best bet to whack a doe so that I can obtain a buck tag. What is everyone's plan? Or comments and opinions on my plan! It is gonna be as hot as the 's toenails out there! Anyone have an air conditioned hunting blind I can borrow?

How to keep target practice fun? Opinions? Tips?
bruiserbucksoutdoors posted a topic in Deer Hunting
Okay, so I know that it happens to the best of us..... I put a bad shot on a nice 9 pointer last year and never found it. I have no excuse other than it was my fault completely. I didn't practice shooting nearly enough. I bought a new mathews bow before last season, sited it in, and maybe practiced shooting it three times. I know, I know, I should have shot more and practiced shooting from a stand instead of off the ground. But this year I have been shooting a lot every week. Anytime that I get, even if it is only 30 minutes, I have been shooting my bow. My pins are set at 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yards. My groups are pretty good all the way up to 40 yards. I have been shooting off of the top of my shed that is 10ft-12ft high. Any tips on how to get tighter groups at 50 and 60 yards? Such as a better stabilzer? I currently have a cheap one on there. Also I have been getting kind of bored just shooting at the block target I have. What do you guys do to keep it fun? Is there any target courses around to shoot? I am located in salem county. Let me know! Thanks!- 5 replies
