congrats - any pics of exit hole? Trying to figure out why that buck  made it out of site based on the one hole I see?

This is a rage entrance hole when the blades open correctly.  I'd say that's an exit after the blades were bend or broke or stuck back in the closed position by all the gunk when it went through the deer, or the blade didn't open as it should have.  I've had arrows get turned 90 degrees inside the deer when they clipped the back of a rib.

the buck shot is not the same buck pictured?  Still a very nice buck  - my point is the G3's and brow tines do not remotely match  - so there is still another stud possibly bigger now, and definitely much bigger for next fall!

The double white throat patch on live buck, should give you extra confirmation, although I suppose the one you shot could also have two white patches....

Probably quartering to and that’s entrance?

I would say closer to 1/8 towards.  The exit would looked like a 2” opening.  I didn’t sleep much at all last night thinking I wounded an animal and that I might not find it. Tonight I will sleep like a rock.
