Note to self….prior to wasting 2 hours ripping apart hot tub to replace pump the company sent you…make sure it’s identical to the old one!!!  Old one is on the left.

Rotate the pump housing and it should fit.

I was guna but there are no bolts exposed to do that

It’s the four bolts on the back side of the motor.   Take a picture of the back of the motor.

Also the cord should be going through the 1/2 threaded hole with a cord grip.

From the picture it looks like you have to take off the cover to get to long bolts in order to turn it.

Can't you just loosen the strap that holds the mounting plate?

Or am I missing something?

Yes and no. It puts the 1/2 thread hole on the bottom and there may not be any clearance.

I took that cover off and saw no bolts. 
 

these small black 10 mm bolts may run all the way thru it tho. Guna mess w it tomorrow

I think pump needs to stand up like it is and can’t be rotated. Hope to get a call from company tomorrow

The four black screws on this side. The are as long as the motor.

Send it back and look at another supplier for one that doesn’t require you to retro fit.
