Bonefreak
Guna be interesting how this Live Scope technology plays out in the pro bass fishing world!! 19 yr old Trey McKinney has 67 lbs after Day 2 while jerkbaiting w live scope!! 6 out of the top 12 are rookies....either veterans like Mike Iaconnelli, Rick Clunn, Greg Hackney, etc ….don't know how to live scope....or they are tanking on purpose so they band together to get rid of it. May end seeing a new tournament division that prohibits live scope eventually these guys don’t even cast until they see a big fish they want to cast at…it’s pretty wild. Unfortunately I can’t afford it….but it would be nice to know there are fish around to cast to…..than to be dillying your worm in blank water. And, with hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line, use whatever you got to catch em! But, there’s a whole group of guys that have ethical issues with it….either way….its guna be interesting how it plays out. it’s kind of like the drone deer recovery technology issue discussed recently….advanced technology impacting wildlife in complex ways. muzzy1
Bonefreak
Where will the video game competitive fish tech take us?? Wearing virtual glasses to catch em??!! Lol https://www.outdoorlife.com/fishing/augmented-reality-glasses-livescoping/
jerseyboy32
I heard about it on a podcast. Cost like 3000 and up. It’s definitely a disadvantage not using it Bonefreak
Booner
I have something very similar on my boat. 3d structure scan. It's like cheating. But we'll worth it. You can see the bottom structure much more easily and see the fish. Not as detailed as live scope but close enough. I use for bottom fishing so live scope would be useless on a fish that's under the sand Bonefreak 1 LET EM GO SO HE CAN GROW
Bonefreak
At least Texas makes em release these spawners on site instead of live welling a limit of 5 for the day. They can bring 1 over 24” to weigh in for pics, crowd, etc
mazzgolf
This is wild. Never heard of LiveScope. Trying to find videos that show it in use. Found this one - crazy you can see the fish moving in real time. Look at the 52:44 mark - you can see the lure hit the water at the top at 50 feet out, then you can see the two fish, with one that chases after the lure starting out at about 40 feet, and he catches it at about 15 feet out. Crazy. Bonefreak

Panoptix actually has been around a long time . Walleye guys have used it extensively. the forward facing transducer is what’s changing the game entirely for bass fishing . putting the transducer on the trolling motor allows complete view around the boat based on the direction of travel . Imo will be hard for them to knock it down at this point . As every boat out there has every other variation of sonar there is . Consoles have more MFD’S than a power plant control room . guys already are watching their screens more than fishing , looking for fish as well as structure .
