Americans love meat

I don't know why this interested me but .. it did:

https://news.gallup.com/poll/510038/identify-vegetarian-vegan.aspx

You know how you read all over the media how vegetarianism and veganism is popular in the US? All the trendy celebrities touting their plant-based diets and how they and PETA cry about how the meat industry is terrible, horrible, and no good. They make it seem like veganism is mainstream and many people are getting into it... And the big push for "Impossible" burgers and related plant-based meat substitutes...

Well, apparently, only 4% of Americans consider themselves vegetarians. And only * 1% * of Americans consider themselves vegan! And it's been like this for at least 10 years if not much longer.

You'd think it was like a quarter or more of the country was vegetarian based on all the hype you read and see in the media.

But, no. Turns out, pretty much all of America (well, 96% of it) love meat

What you see on TV, news and entertainment, is basically a false representation, or false narrative, of America. They do that intentionally to try and effect the cultural change they project. They try to normalize the radical and the fringe things to make them seem mainstream, hoping they will become mainstream.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation UNDER GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
