Anybody finding any chukar at Colliers Mills?

Been out a few times with my Britt, no chukar, but did put up some quail in front fields, you say?

Was out this morning with my GSP at Colliers. Only stayed out for about an hour. Didn’t want to push it with her since she is 12 years old. Didn’t see any chukars. No one else was around. No vehicles on the way in all the way back to the dog training area. Also no one in the woods or fields where I was at. Good to see the cover in the fields seems better than last years. Nice cover crop in the big field near the power lines.

I was in the front fields mid- morning, no chukar, but my Britt trailed a few quail, saw them but they wouldn't flush.

My dog gets running birds to flush otherwise they end up in her mouth.😁

Understood, I let her chase them awhile then pulled her off of them

Smitty, when i said chase, I meant she'll point , birds will move, she will reposition, this went on a few times, birds wouldn't flush, then I pulled her off

When she repositioned did you release her if so good job. There’s nothing like a good pointing dog.

Was out this morning, nothing but wet fields and they were grading the road with gravel

At Colliers again this morning with my GSP. Found no chukars but did see a bunch of feathers that could of been from a chukar. The predators get them quick. Regardless, it was a beautiful morning to be outdoors. We had our first frost this morning at my house in Northern Burlington County.

Was out this morning also, no birds but dog did find 2 piles of feathers in the woods
