I had multiple gobblers sounding off all morning on today's before work hunt in 12.  2 birds 80 yds away stayed in the roost till 7:30.  1 of them gobbled the whole time from 5:45 to 7:30, probably 40-50 gobbles.  They called in another gobbler from a long ways off.  Almost shot twice but just couldnt close the deal.  Back tomorrow & will probably hear nothing.

Sure enough, I didn't hear a single gobble anywhere close this AM...so i put a couple of dekes out & sat in a natural blind.  They were there, just not talking.  Had gobblers & hens at 80 yds a little after 6AM but they didn't come over to check out my spread.  Thought I was done until I stood up & saw 2 gobblers skulking nearby.  They eventually drifted over, saw they were jakes but squeezed anyway to get on the board after coming close multiple times in NYS last weekend & two A week botches on long beards.
