Tooth of the Arrow. They make 100, 125, 150, and 175's. Great strong head that shoots straight.

Write ups on these heads are very  good .

so I bought bunch to use for elk .
They shoot ok but I’m not overly impressed with blade sharpness .
their sharpening system is just ok .
and it takes a lot of work to get them just mediocre.
I haven’t been able to get them hair popping sharp as can be done with other heads

I bought a pack of 175 gr heads to use on my Safari last year but opted for the Slick Tricks instead. They seemed sharp enough to me.

I been using German Jager heads but really only have 1 shot with them, quartering away, 15-18yards, 7" penetration.. no recovery.

I'm sure my error.. probably too far fwd...last light shot.

They do seem well built and I'd reccomend looking into them.. Great price.

I also see woodsman came out with stainless heads (my biggest complaint was the rust with the old ones, and they were not sharp out of the package unless you paid double for the elites)

Obviously, there are many options.  It would matter if you stated the type of hunting you are doing. Crossbow, Compound, or Trad.  Then a 2, 3, or 4 blade recommendation can be better made. You stated using VPA's which I believe are 3 blade so I recommended the TOA which are 4 blade. If you are Trad shooting, then a 2 blade may be more suitable.

For what it’s worth I shoot a 125 gr head

What I’m hunting dictates whic head I shoot… Vortex- VPA and Innerloc

I use a 50 grain insert bringing the front end up to 175..

I do something similar actually.  I had a bunch of great 100g heads, so I run a 100g stainless insert and just use the 100g heads.  200 up front gives nice FOC and excellent penetration on NJ whitetails

Pretty sure he is shooting 100 grain brass inserts with the heavy 175 grain broadheads out of traditional gear .

Gotcha.  He shoots all sorts of bows though.  I sold him a compound last year.  I guess maybe he could clarify what bow he is looking at the heads for.  Regardless, the Simmons, Aliens and Cutthroats would be great choices for a stickbow or a compound.
