Found what appears to be a large white caterpillar near a food plot in upstate New York. Does anyone recognize this? Thank you

Your photo isn’t loading. But it may be a swallowtail butterfly. Hard to say without pix.

It's almost as long as a finger, do grubs get that big?

You may be right, it’s blurry but does look a lot like a really big maggot.
