I’ve caught a lot of Blue marlin and a few giant bluefin tuna. A giant blue fin will pull harder but a grander blue marlin is a special fish!!

I have caught my share of both white & blue marlin, NOT a grander. Anytime we get a marlin bite, Don't even want the rod. Guess I am a tuna snob....just prefer tuna!

To each his own. There is a fish out there for every one of us.
I will take white marlin fight over any tuna. Light tackle and much more exciting fight. Tuna to me is just a grind.

Light tackle caught a 25lb bull mahi in Aruba last week. One of the best fights… had a blast… better than the barracuda we caught that day too
