I bought a Savage model 110 7mmMag 25 years ago Shooting 160 grain bullets it’s dropped several PA  whitetail over the years.   I’ve also used it for elk, sheep, caribou and some other big game out to 400 yards.   If you think you may want to go for something else in the future you may want to consider 7mmMag.
