What gun are you shooting, just curious and what did you gain with the 3rd pellet Distance, Accuracy etc? I never tried three but wondered what the results would be.

Interesting I will have to try that on the range next time out I wonder how much un burnt my Rem 700 has with 2 pellets.

I believe the tc and Hornady are the same its just a tc sabot.

  If you are talking difference between xtp and xtp mag,  the mag is bonded differently to holt together at higher velocities

If you want to shoot a magnum charge best would be loose powder n work up with the sheet to find where you are burning near 100 percent

I HAVE SHOT DEER OVER 125 YDS

I killed one thurs night at 125 using  2

So I imagine the sabot then is different size to accommodate bullet size?

I shoot the 300gr, .45 cal  Mag XTP's using TC sabots for bullets .451 - .452 if you decide on a .44cal you will need a SABOT specific to that size bullet

Just as Bushden described. The 44 cal goes with a "green" sabot, the 45 cal goes with the black sabot. I guess the sabots make up for the small differences in size.
