To me I rather let them go another year when possible. I have taken my share of bucks so I have no need to need to just take a buck to fill a tag. If I need meat there are enough does around for that. 

  If you can't get out and hunt much and a buck comes by that makes you happy then take it and be proud of it!!!! Nothing wrong with that

Buck 154 , depends where you hunt. I hunt public land and figure if i let him walk the net guy may not. I realize that is not a great attitude but i consider it a realistic attitude.

That being said i of course let some deer walk but no 8 pointers will walk

I only have one private property and shoot most of my mature bucks off public land. I used to think that way years ago too about if I pass a buck the next guy will kill it. All I know is if I decide i'm going to kill a buck he will not make it to another year. I take that chance with letting them walk with all the other guys and all the roads. Roads take out more than people.  You will be amazed on how many bucks live past the Orange army cause I hunt some heavy gun hunted public land and I get bucks I know from year to year.
