Matty
You probably have to jump on those permits as soon as it opens. What makes those zones so popular? Lots of birds or just way fewer permits allocated? I've always hunted way up North...knock on wood...I've never had an issue getting a permit. Even A week and weekends usually don't sell out OTC. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear

Bucksnbows
I always go through the lottery for unknown reasons and always get my 1st choices in zone 7 while my buddies just buy for that zone OTC and even for the "weekend warrior package" (Saturdays). Last year was a cruel one for me with turkeys after a few good years. I'm hoping to get back on track this spring! You have to be sitting on the computer andready to log in exactly at 10 if you want any chance of getting a permit in 14, 21, or 12 the areas I usually hunt. I also hunt 11 but you have a little time there they dont sell out quite as fast. Matty
Good luck getting them! “I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. redsquirrel
I picked up my permits yesterday. You do have to be logged in at 10 to try to get some of the leftovers, but that is no guarantee cause the network will probably freak out due to everything trying to do the same thing. My father thought he was able to get 1 two years ago but the system crashed while he was paying and he ended up not getting it.
