Old gun cleaning kit

Anyone ever see or use one of these? It all fits into the metal container, on the other end there's lube. Maybe an old kit for the armed services? Not sure where I got this, I think I picked it in a house that people left all their stuff behind.

Possible from British .303 Lee Enfield SMLR bolt action rifle.

 

Not quite sure of the model.

 

It definitely is an old military rifle cleaning kit. :up:

OK, I was wrong.....

 

It is from an old WWII German Mauser K-98 rifle cleaning kit.  

 

German Army began using it in 1934, up until they got their ass kicked in 1945.   :up:

Bill is correct. It should have small German proof eagles stamped on it.
