croallgame
This is Marshall Conklins huge Reproduction Fluke (summer flounder) he caught off the Sea Girt Reef this last past season. I am not sure of the exact weight but it was 33" in length. Marshall brought in his Oak Coffee table and this is what we transformed it into .It also has tuck away sliding cup holders not pictured. This is now his primary coffee table in his living room and when you lift your head and look out the window you have a beautiful view of Shark River. jerseyhunter
Looks great but, He should have had a Lexan lid to cover it so to use it as a real coffee table. JMO.

croallgame
Can you post a pic of the real fluke too? Bet that was a hell of a fish! The only photos I had we gave back to Marshall. If you notice one of the pictures has a photo in it. I am not sure how much you can blow that up, but you will be able to get a real good idea of how light the color was on this fish compared to the other big Fluke we just posted. KellyMaryScott
Wow. Came across this while searching for any photos online of our dad, Marshall Conklin. Thank you for making this beautiful table for him. He was so proud of that fish! That table was a conversation piece for sure! The Shark River Beach & Yacht Club will be the table/fish's new owners. I will look for a photo of the real fish and add to this thread if I find anything. Thank you again for creating this beautiful piece!
