Kayaking down the Delaware is fun, kayaking down the Delaware with HH is more fun.  

 

Kayaking down the Delaware with HH and a growler of his home-brew, on an 85 degree day, is one of those top 10 experiences that you remember for the rest of your life.     

 

When:  Saturday September 23

 

            9:30 - 2:00

 

Where:  Kittatinny Canoes Matamoras base.  

 

             1147 Delaware Drive

             Matamoras Pa

 

What:  We will park at the Matamoras base and be bused up to the Staircase.  It's a 6 mile paddle back down to Matamoras.

 

Cost:  $50.

 

Let me know if you are interested in joining us.  Family and friends are welcome.

Unfortunately there aren't public spots until halfway down.  That's why we use their kayaks.  

 

You can arrange to drop your kayak off at their Staircase base and then drive back down and take the bus up with us.

Yeah, if I can use my own gear that would be best.  I'll give them a call to see what arrangements are like.

 

Oh, and if I have some, I'll bring homebrew.  Supplies are running low.  Kicked a keg tonight.

Doc's daughter's wedding in Maryland that weekend.  Theme is moonshine and nobody needs to drive.  Sorry, no kayaking for me that weekend although we are staying on the banks of the Potomac where the Shenandoah dumps in between MD and VA.  I might chase some smallies with the 7 weight fly rod.
